Last Friday, March 9th, 2001, following the resounding vote of "No" by the residents of Summerfield, NC against the FedEx hub I sent an e-mail to each of the Guilford County Commissioners. To date, not one of them has bothered to respond.
Here's the e-mail:

Note: My e-mail to Commissioner Linda O Shaw did not ask for an answer but instead thanked her for the support and statements she made at the Summerfield meeting. Commissioner Shaw supports an open public hearing but has yet to get the five other votes she needs to get the open public hearing. Six of the eleven commissioners must vote yes to put up anything for an open discussion. Good luck, Commissioner Shaw. I hope you can get the votes. |
Here's their e-mail addresses in case anyone else wants to write and ask, or better yet, ask why they chose to ignore a public website concerning the issue (i.e: internet press) that's had over a half-million visitors to it. Would they ignore the same question from the Greensboro News & Record?
