FAA's Flawed Mitigated Alternative W1-A1 Noise Contours Map This map shows the noise countours extending out only 2 miles for identical events that were mapped out 4 miles at Charlotte's airport. Was the map at Charlotte flawed? Did they pay compensation to residents based on flawed data, and if so, are they going to ask for their money back? No! The data they are using to justify the FedEx hub is flawed. They can justify paying compensation for 293 people; they can not justify compensating the 10,000 people that would be affected if they used the same criteria they used in Charolotte.
